We recent stayed 6 nights at Aryo Barzan, Shiraz as independent travellers and on our first trip to Iran. It is one of the best hotels in our travel. Good breakfast, efficient and professional staff, clean and more importantly we got good night sleep every night (I am a fussy light sleeper). We stayed in twin room on level 1. The hotel is located in the centre of the city with walking distance to the Bazaar. We highly recommend it.

We used to stay there when I was a kid. So I have been liking the place since then as it brings out my good memories of my childhood. It is the first hotel in Rasht and it still by far the best one in town. Its quality diminished a few years ago but I think there is a new management team in charge within the past 3 years or so. Now, good again.

This hotel is newish and very nice, but as previously said, isolated from down town where bazar is, but is closer to Taq-e Bustan bars relief carvings. Nice 6th floor restaurant opening at 7:30 PM. IF you are driving, it is a bit difficult to get to as a very large project is going on next door. If coming from Hamadan, watch for hotel sign next to off ramp.

We stayed for two lovely nights in this Fuman hotel located on a tea plantation. The room, views, staff, breakfast, cafe, restaurant and other facilities (including a snooker table) were top standard. The staff were friendly, responsive, helpful and efficient and organised all our taxis as well as our onward travel. Fuman is about half way between Masouleh and Rudkhan castle so we visited both on separate 1/2 - 1 day trips. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this big hotel. It's not a glitzy 'precious' hotel like some of the majors around the world, but it offers an informal intimacy, despite its size. Its location could hardly be better, right there alongside the river, within easy walking distance of its important bridges, and just round the corner from some very significant shops. Everything worked well - free wi-fi
